Indoor Facility Makes a BIG Impact!

When Virginia Tech Athletics decided to create a new indoor practice facility and offices, they did not have an idea of the impact that it would make for the men’s and women’s teams as well as recruiting.

While most schools boast of covered hitting bays for their ranges, VT has upped the ante to include an indoor facility, complete with two True Strike simulators and a Tour Putt Ultimate practice green. Now the new home of Hokies Golf, the facility also houses coaches’ offices and a well-appointed conference room. Their vision paid off!

Housed in an under-utilized space at Cassell Coliseum, the Conder outfitted space included digitally printed safety pads for the back walls and allows all players to practice year round when conditions are not favorable on the nearby Pete Dye River Course. The Pro Putt System surface rolls at a true 10.8 USGA Stemp Meter… truly a dream for players, coaches and recruits! Working with VT Athletic facility staff and coaches, Conder served as the creator of all visuals from the custom lobby logo wall to the recognition of conference teams and golf scenes from their Championship golf course- another recruiting advantage from well-conceived and executed planning.
